The Flying Aces Club


A tradition of building and flying free flight stick and tissue model aircraft.

The Flying Aces Club is the nationwide parent organization of this club and several other regional squadrons. The DC Maxecuters serve as Squadron #6, the “Dreaded” Potomac Pursuit Squadron.

Members fly for fun and in competitions where a first place finish in a sanctioned event earns a “Kanone”. Each victory brings the flier one step closer to the coveted “Blue Max”, arguably the highest achievement in the model aviation world.

All the squadrons pitch in to run the FAC NATS, a four day contest held every other year in Geneseo, NY. We take a break during the off years and hold the three day Non-NATS for your flying pleasure.
